I started in property a month before my 19th birthday, forsaking studying law and I have never looked back.
I am now in my 51st year in property and am still enjoying every day as it offers up new challenges all the time. No deal is the same and that keeps me going. Why retire when you are still enjoying what you do most?
I joined my father 3 years after the company was formed and we specialised in the industrial property market.
In 1989, we were mandated to sell the SACD site in Montague Gardens on phenomenal terms and, despite that, we were unable to find a buyer.
We approved Cape of Good Hope Bank and asked them if they would finance the purchase of the 30 ha site including improvements.
They backed us and that was the beginning of the growth in our company.
Our slogan that we still use today is "Understanding Client Needs” and that thought process we drill into our team of brokers so that they don’t waste a clients’ time and vice versa.
Today we are a team of 24 staff and are still a dominant force in the industrial property market.
Besides the day to day brokering, we have a development arm that has built up a substantial medical property portfolio and undertaken a number of residential developments.
